GENERAL STATEMENT OF JOB

To provide the leadership and instructional resources and services for implementation of a school library media program that serves as an integral part of a student- centered educational process

MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

Approved program requirements that must be met to qualify for K-12 School Library Media Coordinator certification are at the master’s degree level. Coordinates and directs the activities of school library media support personnel including library media assistants, technical assistants, student assistants, and/or volunteers.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to physically perform the basic life operational functions of fingering, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions. Must be able to perform sedentary work exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Some positions assigned to this class may require light work exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
